Kandis – apple pie in one bite

A lovely surprise from a teacher at school. A box of ‘kandis’, mini apple pies typical in the town Andoain. They are named after Saint Kandida, familiarly known as ‘Ama Kandida’ (mother Kandida.) Crumbly, melt-in-the-mouth pastry, tart apple filling… let’s just say they didn’t last long!
